For smaller handheld equipment, our automatic vents are used to allow for pressure equalisation and acoustic variation, but will prevent contaminants and liquids entering.
For all electronic equipment it is advisable to dry gas purge your equipment prior to fitting any desiccation devices. It is not uncommon on smaller equipment to find that the amount of hydroscopic loading within the components compared to the free air volume can be 10 times greater.
