Automatic Breather Valves for Equipment
Many electronic, electro-optic and medical devices can be sensitive to pressure and therefore it is vital to use the correct type of valve for these applications. Equipment valves are set at a specific opening or crack pressures, unlike most Container Valves that are usually set at re-seat pressures.
These crack pressures range from at low as 0.1psid up to 10psid depending on the maximum allowable pressure within your equipment. As soon as the crack pressure is reached the valve will begin to allow air to flow thus relieving the equipment any pressure or vacuum differentials.
Automatic Breather valves for equipment can be either inward relieving, for applications where a vacuum can cause your product issues, outward relieving for when over pressure is an issue or two way (double differential) when both vacuum & pressure relief are required.
Automatic Breather valves can also be fitted with Desiccant Cartridges so that when the valve opens any incoming air is dried before entering your equipment. The Desiccant Cartridge will maintain a dry environment within the air space of the equipment whilst the Automatic Breather Valve is closed. We also use grade 13X molecular sieves within these Desiccant Cartridges as this will also adsorb any hydrocarbon vapours that may be drawn in through the valve during refuelling.
We also offer a range of Conductive Nut & Shielded Nut assemblies that can be used in conjunction with the Automatic Breathers Valves to provide RFI / EMI conductivity, in some cases we can screen the threads so a conductive nut is not required.
