Description
TA238-R Breather Valve
High-Flow, Low-Cost Relief Valve for Larger Transit Cases
Conforms to MIL-DTL-27166 & SAE AS27166
The TA238-R breather valve is designed to offer a higher airflow alternative to the TA294-R, while maintaining a cost-effective profile. Suitable for transit cases and similar enclosures with internal volumes up to 33 cubic feet, this valve provides a flow rate of 4.0 SCFM and is available with reseal pressure settings ranging from 0.5 psi to 5.0 psi.
Lightweight, robust, and tamper-resistant, the TA238-R requires no field maintenance. It is manufactured entirely from corrosion-resistant materials, with a silicone rubber valve seal for reliable performance. A recessed manual release push button is included as standard, allowing for pressure equalisation to aid in opening the container when residual pressure or vacuum is present.
Note:
The TA238-R is not intended for protection against water ingress from high-pressure water jets or hose-down conditions. For such applications, consider using the TA330, TA333, or TA770 breather valves.
This valve is identical in size, construction, and performance to the Zero ZSP6-037 breather valve. Each unit is supplied with an O-ring gasket and hex nut. RFI/EMI shielding options are available upon request.
