TA294-R Breather Valve
High-Flow, Two-Way Pressure Relief for Larger Transit Cases

The TA294-R breather valve has been developed to provide a cost-effective, two-way pressure relief solution for transit cases and similar applications with internal volumes of up to 8 cubic feet. It is based on the TA292-R model but features a longer body and increased airflow capacity. The valve provides a flow rate of 1.0 SCFM at 1.5 to 2.0 psi above the set pressure. Standard reseal pressures range from 0.5 psid to 3.0 psid.

The valve is tamper-resistant and requires no field maintenance. It is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, with a silicone rubber sealing element. Each unit is supplied with a hex nut, washer, and gasket. A manual push-button pressure release is included as standard on all TA294-R valves, allowing the user to equalise internal and external pressures when opening the container.

• Housing, Hex Nut & Washer: Aluminium alloy

• Gasket: Complies with AMS-R-6855, Class II, Grade 60

• Finish: Alodine-coated housing with anodised hex nut

Mounting Details:

• Mounting Hardware: Gasket, washer, and hex nut included

• Mounting Hole Diameter: 0.78 ± 0.015 in. (20 ± 0.4 mm)

• Maximum Wall Thickness: 0.10 in. (3 mm)

• Installation Torque: 25–35 in-lbs (3.0–4.0 N·m)

• Weight: 0.02 lbs (32 grams)

• Thread Size: 0.750-16 UNF-2B

• Counterbore Requirement: None
