Designed to accommodate larger, bulkier soft-covered documents—as well as tools or other support materials—the TA485 Records Holder from Arcadia Desiccant provides a secure, easily accessible storage solution for use in large shipping and storage containers.
Lightweight yet durable, the TA485 is both waterproof and pressure-tight up to 5 psig. The unit is sealed to the container exterior using a retained gasket, while a spring-loaded cover with an internal o-ring ensures an airtight seal for the compartment.
Simple Operation: Roll the documents or insert items into the tube, then press and rotate the cover approximately 60° to close securely.
Easy Installation: Mounts through a 4.015″ (102 mm) diameter hole in the container wall. A gasket, washer, and mounting nut are included. A blind threaded insert is provided at the end of the tube for optional internal support.
Tamper-Resistant: Holes in both the cover and flange allow for safety wiring or an inspector’s seal to prevent unauthorized access.
Installation Surface Note: For optimal sealing, install only on smooth, flat surfaces. The unit may not seal effectively on rough, curved, or domed surfaces.
