Arcadia Desiccant TA485 Records Holder

For Larger Documents, Tools, and Support Materials

Designed to accommodate larger, bulkier soft-cover documents—as well as tools and other support items—the TA485 Records Holder from Arcadia Desiccant offers a reliable, waterproof, and pressure-tight storage solution for large shipping and storage containers.

The lightweight holder is pressure tight up to 5 psig and is sealed externally to the container using a retained gasket. A spring-loaded cover with an integrated o-ring ensures the interior compartment remains sealed from environmental elements.

Simple to Use: Roll the documents or place items inside the tube. Press the cover in and rotate approximately 60° to seal.

Easy to Install: Mounts through a 4.015″ (102 mm) diameter hole in the container wall. Supplied with gasket, washer, and mounting nut. A blind threaded insert at the end of the tube provides additional mounting support.

Tamper-Resistant: The cover and flange include pre-drilled holes for safety wiring or applying an inspector’s seal.

Mounting Surface Note: For a secure seal, the TA485 should be mounted on a smooth, flat surface. It may not seal effectively on domed, curved, or rough surfaces.

Materials and Finish:

• Body: Aluminum alloys with conversion coating per MIL-DTL-5541

• Cover: Passivated stainless steel

• Seals: Buna-N o-ring and gasket

Torque Specification:

• Spanner Nut Torque: 150 in-lbs (17 N·m)
