The TA798 from Arcadia Desiccant is a 4-inch diameter vacuum relief valve designed to deliver exceptionally high airflow—the highest available for its size. Unlike conventional spring-actuated breather valves, the TA798 uses powerful rare earth magnets in place of compression springs. This design enables the valve to open rapidly and fully once the cracking pressure is reached, ensuring quick response in high-volume air intake applications.

Ideal for use in scenarios requiring fast, reliable pressure equalization, the TA798 is suited for vacuum relief in enclosures, containers, and transport systems where pressure differentials could compromise structural integrity or access.

Factory-Configured, Maintenance-Free Design

Each TA798 valve is shipped pre-set to a specified cracking pressure, requires no field maintenance, and is supplied with a mounting nut, washer, and gasket for straightforward installation.

The TA798-VR model includes a manual release button, allowing users to manually equalize pressure before opening a container—particularly useful in vacuum-sealed environments.

Performance Characteristics

  • Non-selectable reseal pressure due to high air volume throughput

  • In most applications, the valve fully equalizes internal and ambient pressure before resealing
