Purging with the HydraPurge
Our range of Purging Systems are a unique product that uses either dry air or dry nitrogen to remove moisture from equipment of containers. The HydraPurge range of products are supplied in standard brief case format or can be supplied as a 19” Rack Mounted option.
Moisture presents a problem within every electronic, electro-optic or optical device, which can lead to equipment failure, lens fogging and reliability issues. This moisture is often built into the equipment within the components, so anything that is not metal, or glass will hold moisture. Moisture vapour will also enter an equipment via the seals and gaskets or any other available leak paths.
The best solution to combat this hygroscopic moisture within the components and free air volume is to use either dry air or dry nitrogen gas.
In order to maximise your dry air or dry nitrogen purging process the use of our HydraPurge equipment is essential, as it controls the gas as well as measuring the dewpoint levels to determine exactly when your equipment has reached the desired humidity point, without wasting your dry air or dry nitrogen.
The old method of just using a dry nitrogen gas bottle will not effectively purge your equipment volume, the process of using a positive/positive pressure cycle of dry gas, combined with a dewpoint monitoring system will allow an efficient control and measuring system of your dry gas purging process.
The HydraPurge Purging System has been designed to be used with all types of equipment, from night vision systems to optical cameras and ANPR devices. A range of specialised adaptors are also available to assist with connecting to different types of equipment.
